Role: The role of the Communications Committee is to provide input to staff on the consumer-facing campaign and member-facing communications.
Prerequisite Requirements: Applicants must subscribe to Association emails and text messages to qualify to serve. If you need help subscribing, email programs@RARealtors.com. 
Term Length: Members of this committee serve a one-year term.  

Role: The role of the DEI Committee is to develop strategies and promote education and awareness around the values of equity and inclusion in the REALTOR® community, while also seeking opportunities to better represent the diversity of the Association’s membership. In lieu of formal meetings, the Committee may provide learning opportunities open to the general membership.
Prerequisite Requirements: Members of this committee are encouraged to successfully complete and pass NAR’s Fairhaven training. 
Term Length: Members of this committee serve a one-year term.  

Role: The role of the Governmental Affairs Committee is to further strengthen the Association’s public policy efforts by helping to develop the Association’s annual legislative package, serve as an advisory group on state and local public policy issues, and work to raise awareness on policy matters impacting the real estate industry.
Prerequisite Requirements: There are no specific prerequisite requirements for committee service.
Term Length: Members of this committee serve staggered, two-year terms. 

Role: The role of the Grievance Committee is to review complaints received from the public and members to determine if the complaint has sufficient substance and merit to warrant an ethics or arbitration hearing.
Prerequisite Requirements: Applicants must have 3 years of active association membership and no prior ethics violations. All members must complete professional standards training at the beginning of committee service.  
Term Length: Members of this committee serve a one-year term. Please note that the committee is limited to 15 members and allows for 5 openings per year. A commitment to full meeting attendance is expected of all members. 

Role: The role of the Programs Committee is to provide input on the professional development, learning opportunities and programs offered by the Association.
Prerequisite Requirements: Members of this committee must have attended at least two RAR classes in the past twelve months, or participated in an RAR professional development program such as the Circle of Excellence or the Leadership Development Academy.  
Term Length: Members of this committee serve a one-year term.
