Local zoning regulations determine when, where, and how new homes get built in every community. In this course, licensees will learn the historical and contemporary contexts of the critical relationship between zoning regulations and housing opportunities.

Participating in this course, real estate professionals will:

  • Learn how to advise and inform clients on the values, potential uses, and development opportunities of properties
  • Determine how to better maneuver and explain local development regulations and decision-making processes to clients
  • Understand emerging trends in local government policy and housing markets throughout Virginia using relevant research and case studies
