Part 1: Deconstructing the CVR MLS Purchase Agreement 

RAR/CVR MLS Legal Counsel Michael Lafayette will lead an in-depth, detailed review and discussion of the terms and provisions of the CVR MLS Purchase Agreement.  In this session, you will: 

• Enhance your understanding of the CVR MLS Purchase Agreement 
• Improve your ability to anticipate and address common issues encountered in today’s real estate transactions 

Part 2: Constructing an Airtight Contract 

This workshop will provide you with a unique, hands-on experience and insight into the preparation and negotiation of residential purchase agreements based on hypothetical criteria, utilizing the CVR MLS Purchase Agreement and related forms. In this session, you will: 

• Draft, modify and critique purchase offers 
• Participate in simulated negotiations of offers and counteroffers 
• Learn common drafting and negotiating errors and how to avoid them 

This class satisfies the Virginia requirement that all first-year real estate licensees complete 6 hours of Contract education prior to license renewal.
